Selection News - Cadet Winton with results and EFC Cadet Cabries

L-R Winning Women’s Foil Team, Men’s Foil Team & Women’s Foil Team - final winning touch!

Fantastic news for our two GBR Pathway athletes Ethan S. and Rose R. They have both been selected to represent the Eastern Region in foil for the annual Cadet Winton that will take place on the 20-21 December. It is a long standing event that takes teams from the three weapons classes, foil, epee and sabre which sees a weekend of fun, fencing and friendships.

Congratulations also to Rose R. who at 13, was selected by BF to represent GBR in her first EFC Cadet event, a World Cup Tournament in Cabries, France. She attends a season ahead, as she is still a GBR U14 fencer.

Well done to both our fencers, wishing them the best of luck in both their events! Cambridge Sword is proud of you both, continuing to shine and inspire our next squad fencers.

Dec 2025 - Update to Cadet Winton, both Ethan and Rose had an amazing weekend of full on team fencing representing Eastern Region. A fantastic experience for both who thoroughly enjoyed working with other fencers from other clubs. Men’s Foil with Ethan finished 4th out of 8th, while the Women’s Foil with Rosie were winners of the eight regions! Rose was ranked 11th of our overall on individual stats, with 17 wins and 4 losses. Well done to both our fencers for showing great team spirit and the Cambridge Sword grit!
